San Juan

San Juan
The small picturesque village of San Juan (Sant Joan de Labritja), also capital of the eponymous municipality, consists of one quiet street, with an impressive Christian church, the Church of Saint John the Baptist, tucked away in a beautiful valley in the rural northern countryside of Ibiza surrounded by unspoilt woodlands, remarkable rural extensions and small farms often crossed by torrents and stone terraces.
The village is home to several small cafés and restaurants, 3 banks, a post office, fresh fish shop, a hardware store, a library, a stationery shop, a small supermarket, taxi rank, bus station and kids play area

On Sundays visitors and residents, from all over the island, come to enjoy the popular, weekly Artisan Market with true hippy feel & live music.

Sites of particular interest:
Es Amunts, an mountainous area of high environmental value with a unique fauna and flora.
